Privacy Notice for The Beaumont
The Beaumont is committed to keeping your data safe. Information on how we keep your personal information safe can be found in our Privacy Notice. This details when and why we collect your information, how we use it, the limited conditions we may disclose it to others and what we do to keep it secure.
We collect data from you when you make a booking with us. We use this in order to secure your booking for your selected stay. This is to ensure that we can contact you if we need to about your booking and also in order to charge you in line with our cancellation policy, should you not turn up for your stay and contact us about this.
We will take your name, address data, email, contact details will be taken and stored securely. If you reserve a room, then we will also save your card details. These will only be accessed as required by our cancellation policy or when you have arrived with your permission. We will never share this information with any other person or company without your consent, except in emergency situations, for example if were you to become unwell during your stay. We will also make sure that this is kept secure. We will keep this information no longer than 28 days after your stay has finished. This is only to ensure that we can contact you if any problems were to arise after your stay, or if we needed to return any left property. Beyond 28 days we keep a copy of your invoice and receipt only in order that we can correctly report our income and tax obligations.
By proceeding with a booking, you are giving us permission to use your data in this way.
If you book through our online, then our data processors are the Queensborough Group and sub processors providing services in connection with the operation of our online booking system, which are HotelHost Company and Rackspace. You have the option to ‘opt-in’ to marketing emails. If you do this, then we will collect personal information. We may use this to email you occasionally about offers or changes to our business or if we need to confirm your information is still correct or for your views on your stay. We don’t rent or trade email lists with anyone else.
When someone visits www.the beaumont.co.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
When you stay with us, and use our Wi-fi, it is provided through Virgin Media. We understand that they record data about the devices that use the Wi-Fi, the volume of data which is used, the websites and applications accessed and the usage by access time, frequency and location. We do have access to this and may from time to time access this. We will not share it with any other parties and it will be only accessed for our own monitoring purposes.
You are entitled to view, amend or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to our data protection officer – Liz Kerr at info@thebeaumont.co.uk This is also the contact if you wished to make a complaint about the use of your data. We will respond to all requests or complaints within 28 days.
We will review this policy annually and inform you of any changes.
