Arden House Privacy Statement
We take privacy seriously and so have put together this statement to explain what data we collect, how we store it and how we use it.
This privacy statement is for Arden House, owned and operated by Dawn Pringle, as a seasonal B&B and self-catering facility from the family home at Arden House, Bracklinn Road, Callander, FK17 8EQ. This Statement governs the privacy of the users of the public website (ardenhouse.org.uk) and paying guests who have chosen to stay at Arden House.
It explains how we comply with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) which is in force from 25th May, 2018, the DPA (Data Protection Act) [pre GDPR enforcement] and the PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations).

What personal information are we collecting?
The Arden House website (www.ardenhouse.org.uk) will collect name, postal address, email address, telephone number(s) and personal payment details through automated booking processes. This information is encrypted and held on infrastructure provided through the services of Queensborough Group, 14 Bury New Road, Breightmet, Bolton, BL2 6QB.
The above personal information may also be obtained from potential guests as a result of direct telephone, face to face or email bookings.
On arrival at Arden House guests will be asked for, or to confirm, their name, address, telephone number and nationality. These are all required by the Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972. The request will be made on a registration form left prominently in the guest’s bedroom.
The registration form will also include a request for consent to be contacted by Arden House.

How do we store it?
Personal information submitted through our website or by way of third-party booking systems is held by our data hosting service provider, Queensborough Group (contact details above) and is retained for as long as our account with them is active.
The guest registration forms will be retained for no longer than 12 months in a secure location within Arden House.

How will the information be used?
The information collected will be used for internal record-keeping, payment processing and to contact guests about their stay at Arden House.
We do not maintain email mailing lists. We do not issue marketing messages or associated emails.
Contact information may be used, following consent, for communication regarding the guest’s stay at Arden House.

Arden House utilises Google Analytics to measure the effectiveness of the Arden House website, including the time that visitors spend on our site, which sections are viewed and we use that information to make improvements to our website.
We will not sell, distribute lease or release your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.
Links to other websites: our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website.
Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
Contact and Communication with us: website users contacting us through Contact Us on the Arden House website do so at their own discretion and provide any personal details at their own risk. Your personal information is kept private and stored securely until a time it is no longer required or has no use.

Arden House may change this policy from time to time with the website reflecting the most up to date Statement. This policy is effective from 25th May 2018.
